Michael Gula Biography

Michael Gula is the co-founder of The Gula Graham Group formed in January of 2009.

Before co-founding The Gula Graham Group, Mr. Gula was the President of Mike Gula & Associates, a leading Washington, D.C. Republican fundraising and political consulting firm he formed in 2005.  Mr. Gula provides a diverse background to the fundraising world with political experience in the fields of fundraising and political consulting. Mike Gula & Associates was widely recognized as one of the leading fundraising firms in the 2006 and 2008 cycles netting a 20-1 Congressional and Senate win record, and over 10 million dollars raised for their various clients in the 2008 cycle.

Prior to founding Mike Gula & Associates, Mr. Gula was Vice President of Keelen Communications, a top Republican fundraising and political consulting firm that represented 25 Members of Congress.  Mr. Gula has served as a volunteer in the campaigns of President George W. Bush, the reelection campaigns of Governor George W. Bush, President George H.W. Bush, and several federal and state campaigns.

Michael Gula has appeared in The New York Times, Washington Post, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, National Review, Roll Call & The Hill.

Mr. Gula, a native of Austin, Texas, received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Richmond, where he also served as captain of the baseball team. He resides in Alexandria, Virginia. 


Jonathan Graham Biography

Jonathan Graham became a partner of Mike Gula & Associates in December of 2008 under the newly formed company, The Gula Graham Group.

Mr. Graham provides The Gula Graham Group with an extensive experience in major event fundraising, individual fundraising, direct mail fundraising and Federal Elections Commission compliance. Mr. Graham joined Mike Gula & Associates in 2006 as Vice President after serving as Congressman Chris Chocola’s (R-IN) Finance Director for the 2004 and 2006 election cycle. 

During his tenure as Congressman Chocola’s Finance Director, Mr. Graham oversaw and ran the daily fundraising operations, which raised over 4.9 million dollars.  As the Finance Director, he developed and implemented a major-donor program and extensive fundraising event program that led to a doubling in contribution totals. In addition to his fundraising duties for Congressman Chocola, Mr. Graham was also responsible for the campaigns finances, accounting, Federal Elections Commission Reports and compliance documents.

Mr. Graham has organized and executed many high level events with former President George W. Bush, Vice President Cheney, First Lady Laura Bush, Speaker Hastert, Majority Leader DeLay, Cabinet Secretaries and various other congressional leaders. 

Prior to his time with Congressman Chocola, Mr. Graham worked at Keelen Communications where he assisted in the coordination and execution of fundraisers for 25 Members of Congress. 

Mr. Graham, was raised in Elkhart, Indiana, received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Hillsdale College, where he majored in Political Science and minored in Speech. He resides in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife Dria. 

Katy Cannon Biography

Katy Cannon joined The Gula Graham Group in September of 2009. Ms. Cannon has experience in political fundraising, event planning, media relations and development for both corporate and political clients. Prior to joining The Gula Graham Group she was the political assistant at epiphany productions.

In 2003 she served as a United States Senate Page, appointed by Senator John Warner. From there she went on to several internships including positions at Quinn Gillespie & Associates, The Consumer Electronics Association, Newsweek Magazine, This Week with George Stephanopoulos, The University of Virginia Center for Politics and Benedetti & Farris LLC.
                               
Ms. Cannon graduated from The University of Virginia in May of 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Foreign Affairs and a minor in Media Studies. While at The University of Virginia Ms. Cannon was the President of WUVA, a student-owned and operated FM radio station. She resides in Washington, DC. 

John Sciuto Biography

John Sciuto joined The Gula Graham Group in May of 2010. Mr. Sciuto offers experience in political fundraising, private-public management relations, and strategy analysis from a variety of sources.

Mr. Sciuto gained his experience in political fundraising, campaigning, and event planning while working for Virginia’s Lt. Governor Bill Bolling during his first term. During this time he also helped contribute to the successful organization of the Lt. Governor’s PAC. Prior to joining The Gula Graham Group Mr. Sciuto was a management consultant for Kadix Systems where he provided the Army National Guard with mission-critical directives. He also has spent time writing and presenting policy briefs for electoral and history organizations.

Mr. Sciuto was raised in Upstate New York and graduated from the University of Richmond in May 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He is currently earning his Masters in Political Management at George Washington University. Mr. Sciuto resides in Arlington, VA.


Kevin H. Rapp Biography

Kevin H. Rapp joined The Gula Graham Group as an Account Executive in May of 2010 following government service experience with the House Republican Policy Committee, chaired by Congressman Thaddeus McCotter (R-MI). During his career Rapp has focused on policy research, fundraising, event planning and media relations.

Mr. Rapp’s experience in fundraising and event planning is largely attributed to his role as co-founder of the Washington D.C. based non-profit, Bike to the Beach. Prior to joining The Gula Graham Group Mr. Rapp also served as Staff Assistant with Crossroads Strategies, LLC and Williams & Jensen, PLLC.

Mr. Rapp was raised in Kensington, Maryland and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and a Minor in Political Science. He currently serves as Vice President of the Gonzaga College High School Young Alumni Association and on the board of Bike to the Beach, Inc. Mr. Rapp resides in Washington, DC.
